Politics: The Art of Survival

Reformation of politics is a requirement of the highest calibre during the current state of affairs, which we humans are undergoing. What this entails is, we must reorganize our priorities, as political experts, to come up with more plausible approaches that may result into more defining outcomes. Politics of the current times are quite similar to the politics practiced by courtesans, during the age of the court society beginning from the 1500s. To outgrow such predicament, we must be all engaged within the knowledge of politics, rather than the mastery of such a discipline. For, not everyone possesses the capacity for mastering such an elusive art, as character plays a crucial role in how such a discipline gets practiced. Participation of ordinary people, must come in the form of gaining general exposure to the fundamentals of politics and its impacts over society. Talking about events is one thing but making sense of events is an entirely different concept, which appears to be foreign to many people.

Politics is trying to make sense of what is seen and what seems to be missing or invisible to one's eyes and possibly one's reason. To train one on managing such an unstable form of art, which the bulk of its work revolves around uncertainty that is meant to manage and guide the people towards better circumstances, requires an unusual form of patience, a strong will to challenge anything unimaginable and commitment to do right by others before doing it onto one's self. Acts of selflessness no longer breaks bread within the deeply sceptical and dangerous domain of politics. Politics of today requires a more cut-throat approach, which has grown to be an acquired taste by many politicians, in order to get the deed done. Having the people become educated about politics, is part of the reformation of such a discipline, as an increased awareness by the people of the activities and actions of their leaders or representatives, gives the people a powerful deterrent that may fight off any corruptible, lustful or vengeful viruses from spreading like wildfire. Objectivity is a key ingredient towards better understanding politics, while subjectivity is a key ingredient of calming down the unsettling impulses or hidden motives of immoral actions taken on by the name of politics.

Many within the field, may commit heinous acts and claim that it was just a political act, so there is nothing personal. Politics has always been a personal matter but has been conducted of as a purely objective tool. Everything humanly possible is done in the name of some human interest. Whether it was honour, respect, glory, wealth, power or knowledge, all these excuses have been justified by them being a necessary political act to advance society towards another zeitgeist. Everything is guided by the political machine of life, as it is the human element of self-driven motives that stirs such machine to its maximum potential. Having an understanding of the significance of politics, as a tool for survival, and not just to be seen as an art of possibilities, is crucial for younger generations of the Information Age to gain a more vivid understanding of the lives they have been offered, by the circumstances of this current world order.

The world is changing but the political nature of our species remains the same. There might be slight differences in the manner of how we project or enforce certain intentions, however, political individuals have never been as cunning as they are at the present. Unlike the political environment of the past, not much can be taken away or evaded by events that generate horrendous acts of epic proportions. All the people, from every class and background, have their eyes fixated on the events of the world and the acts taken by politicians and leaders governing our societies. However, that very freedom or liberty that has been achieved by or granted to the masses, may also be their greatest pitfall. The reliance over one's eyes has limited our need to rely in our very reason or even imagination to anticipate the unexpected or atrocious effects of political nature.

Political figures, of the Information Age, are keen on putting up a great "act" using the exploitation method of disrupting information or manipulating the news, to keep the truth secluded. Some politicians may even profit handsomely over bad publicity or atrocities committed by them, simply as a way to express not only their human sides but their willingness to move forward at any cost to create so-called better circumstances. This is where ideologies play a crucial role in supporting many of these political leaders, as them being staunch defenders of such ideological beliefs that people do not understand but will eventually be thankful for them making the effort to magnify to reality. To move away from obscurity and avoid further turbulence ahead, we ought to understand that survival today rests not on those with humongous muscles or those with large trust funds but on those with the most visionary and cunning political minds. To survive the coming storms, we must understand the art of politics.
