Sailing the Political Tides Towards Change

Unlike the one who managed to slip out of the pack from Plato's Allegory of the Cave, only to return and be harshly condemned and sentenced to death for their discoveries, we shall always remain in the modern cave of our virtual realties, being brainwashed rather than eliminated for our ways. And the changes in our reactions towards those outliers that seek to provide wisdom or enlightenment over the masses, is due to the profound changes in our political behaviours and visions towards the world. To be able to progress and develop ourselves further than where our predecessors have managed to reach, we need to give the floor to new incentives, ideas and dreams that may provide us with a different perception moving ahead. Progress is a matter of aging. The older things get the more wary they become. Like items bought and stored in fridges or up on shelves, they have a certain duration for consumption and then are let go of. Ideas, traditions and standards are made from the same cloth. It is the kind of system in place and the type of political members of society left in charge that plays a vital role in how we humans adapt to and are ought to change with the times. For change is inevitable. But we must be picky with the type of changes that come forth. And these changes must help the majority and not just oneself from benefiting. Changes that provide added growth or different views with better insights and access to more resources and opportunities must be highly welcomed. Conservative mindsets that wish to remain fixated in past norms are enemies to progress, while liberal pursuers that wish to go extreme with their openness by not abiding to certain norms and cultural habits are generators of miseries. Balance in the affairs of politics is required, in order to witness a truly functional economic system and society flourish. With this dark shadow cast upon societies by this raging and unending pandemic, which shall not fade from our memories but will linger on as we move further into time, our creative spree and need for invention and innovation must occupy our minds and shape our lives for the sake of advancement. To understand what awaits us and to help us realize our visions and dreams in the real world, we have to resort back to who we really are; political animals.
